Los Angeles, Calif. (December 8, 2017) — Top entertainment business publication Variety has named Big Machine Label Group’s Andrew Kautz on its coveted “Dealmakers” list for 2017. As Chief Operating Officer, Kautz oversees business development, finance and operations for world’s largest independent record label based on sales and radio airplay.
Kautz is the only Nashville-based executive to earn a spot on this year’s list and BMLG is the only record label represented next to such companies as Netflix, J.P. Morgan and Walt Disney Studios.
Variety says “Without the hard work of these execs and attorneys, the wheels of entertainment would come to a grinding halt.”

Kautz has been integral to BMLG since its inception, helping grow the start-up into a global entertainment company rooted in music, film, tv, racing and beyond. A Belmont graduate, Kautz serves on the board of the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM), where he strongly advocates for artists’ rights.
