NASHVILLE, TN (April 14, 2017) – Unremitting singer/songwriter TODD O’NEILL released his debut single “Love Again” today on Nash Next Records under the Big Machine Label Group umbrella. Textured vocals on full display, Whiskey Riff proclaims, “if this is the first you’re hearing of him, it’s time to start paying attention.” The feel-good, up-tempo number has all the markings of a hit, recorded alongside producer Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts and infectious lyrics crafted by chart-topping songwriters Brett Young, Jesse Frasure and Cary Barlowe.
Offering an epiphany moment of finding the person you want to settle down with, the song’s chorus erupts:You make me wanna trade in whiskey and weekends / You make me wanna stay in with you every night / You make me wanna lock down this feelin’ I’m feelin’ / Girl, you got me shoppin’ for the cut that you like / You make me wanna love again.
The Hammond, LA native has been perfecting his self-described “pure Louisiana soul” sound in countless honky-tonks and dance halls for more than a decade. Last year, Todd was named the winner of Cumulus Media’s NASH Next 2016 challenge following a national grassroots talent search and artist development program for Country music. Todd heads back to his home state this weekend for back-to-back shows tonight (4/14) at Cate Street Pub in Hammond and tomorrow (4/15) at Raxx Bar in Port Allen to celebrate the single release. On April 25, he will embark on dates with Cumulus Media’s NASH Next Live sponsored by Country Inns & Suites and benefitting Operation Gratitude.
