Tonight (9/20), Shaylen will take the stage at Barstool Nashville to celebrate the release of “To Tell You The Truth” with a free performance at 8:00P CT.

“‘To Tell You The Truth’ means a lot to me for many reasons,” shares Shaylen. “I was actually really sick the day that we wrote this song and honestly, shouldn’t have gone into the write that day. But I just had this strong feeling that there was a song to be written and I had to write it.”
She adds, “I wanted to convey how it feels when you’re at the most vulnerable stage of a breakup where part of you doesn’t want to tell the person you miss them while the other part wants to risk it all and call them, even though they broke your heart. There was such a special energy in the room with my co-writers Lindsay Rimes, Conor Matthews and Seth Ennis that day and this crew brought it all together better than I could’ve imagined. I’m so excited for this song to be my first official release with Nashville Harbor!”
