Green’s roots have always been at the forefront of his songwriting, celebrating his small-town upbringing and simplistic lifestyle and with this new EP he further cements his place in the genre as the Southern chart-topper delves into the next chapter of his story. Green also took the stage at the Grand Ole Opry this Saturday (9/12) where he performed and was surprised, along with ACM Awards New Female Artist of the Year Tenille Townes, with his 55th ACM Awards trophy as New Male Artist of the Year. After Opry member Mark Wills presented Green with his trophy, he shared “It’s such an honor. I really never even dreamed of something like this happening. A lot of people helped to get me where I am today. Green’s recent achievement follows a nod from iHeartRadio Music Awards for Best New Country Artist, receiving MusicRow’s Breakout Artist of the Year and being selected for the prestigious CRS 2020 New Faces Class. His GOLD-certified hit “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” adds to his GOLD-certified No. 1 “There Was This Girl.”
