His LIQUOR & CIGARETTES TOUR Hits His Home State of Mississippi With Three Stops Next Month Followed By A Show At Nashville’s Exit/In
NASHVILLE, TN (March 28, 2025) – Uniting modern Country and punk rock, LECADE unleashes yet another genre-bending rocker with “Hope It Kills Me (ft. Sterling Elza),” out now via Big Machine Records. The track finds the narrator in rough shape after their significant other breaks up with them. Now, he’s over-indulging in all the vices she never approved of – drinking, smoking, pills – as a form of self-destructive protest. He imagines there’s no love lost on her end, though, even going as far to suggest that she hopes these decisions put him in the ground. LECADE and Sterling trade verses over punchy percussion beats and strong electric guitar, joining forces to deliver the epitome of post-break up rebellion. “Hope It Kills Me” is written by LECADE alongside Max King, Charlie Scene from Hollywood Undead and Justin Schools.

“I’m beyond excited to release ‘Hope It Kills Me.’ It’s a song that’s been in the works for a while, and having my long-time friend and guitar player, Max King, as well as Charlie Scene as writers on this one makes it even more special,” shares LECADE. “It was also a great experience working with Sterling, we’ve been friends for a while and we’re super happy with how it turned out. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
With more than 3M monthly listeners and 100M streams globally to date, LECADE is just getting started. He will continue on his LIQUOR & CIGARETTES TOUR next month where he’ll make stops in Oxford, MS (4/10), Hattiesburg, MS (4/11) and Starkville, MS (4/12) before playing a headline show at Nashville’s Exit/In on April 16 and providing tour support for Chase Matthew in Tulsa, OK (4/24) and Lake Charles, LA (4/25). ABOUT LECADE: Splitting his upbringing between Winfield, Louisiana, and Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Cade Brinkley, better known as LECADE grew up watching his dad play in dives and legendary honky tonks (like Tootsies) across the south with his band. Falling in love with music at such an early age, LECADE began consuming music of all kinds before converting from an avid listener to a creator himself. In high school he began creating music in his bedroom by buying beats from YouTube creators and writing lyrics over them—which caught the attention of Nashville and TikTok alike. Now, the Country artist is determined to be the next to defy genres, successfully marrying Pop-Country with just enough Hip-Hop style. Averaging more than 3 million monthly listeners, he is growing his streams and has accumulated more than 100 million streams to date. With his unique, yet somehow familiar vibe, made for mainstream and outlaw Country fans alike, LECADE has produced his song “Next Town Over,” his popular single “When I’m Gone” and songs from his debut Country album, Chasing Ghosts. Now signed to Big Machine Records, LECADE is currently in the studio working on new music. His new song “Hope It Kills Me (ft. Sterling Elza)” follows the releases of four tracks in 2024: “Liquor & Cigarettes” “ultra catchy” (Today’s Country Magazine) “Glass,” “You Get Me” and “Bed We Made.”
ABOUT STERLING ELZA: Sterling Elza is a Red Dirt singer/songwriter raised deep in the Texas Panhandle. Born into a ranching family that already had 3 musicians, Sterling took to music from the beginning with guitar lessons starting at the age of 5. Drawing influences from his parents’ music, which ranged from “old school Red Dirt” to top 40 country all the way to grunge and classic rock, Sterling began his musical journey. Sterling continued taking guitar lessons until he moved to Florida where he played tennis at the IMG Academy. After the passing of his uncle – “Big Ster” – and 3 years in Florida, Sterling decided it was time to make a change and fully commit to a life and career in music. A move back to Texas seemed like the perfect choice for a budding songwriter. Now calling New Braunfels home, Sterling launched into the Red Dirt scene with the August 2024 release of his debut album, Simpler Days, which now has over 45 million streams. The album cracked the Top 25 Rock Albums on Apple, and the following week, his single Next Week entered the Top 40 Apple Rock Songs chart. Sterling kicked off 2025 with the release of Midnight Friends, which will be followed by more new music along with a tons of tour dates across the country. His love of music and the passion to perform drive him to continue perfecting his craft and learning from some of the best in the business. With a five-piece band and a wall of sound, it won’t be long before Sterling Elza is a household name.
