NASHVILLE, TN (May 3, 2022) – Nashville native CONNER SMITH has always aspired to perform on the Grand Ole Opry. The singer/songwriter spent his youth balancing homework and baseball while writing songs and introducing himself to Country fans from coast to coast, performing alongside some of the genre’s top acts such as Sam Hunt and Kane Brown. On May 28, Smith’s childhood dream will become reality after his label and tourmate Thomas Rhett officially invited him to step into the circle for the first time during a recent Zoom call. Watch his reaction here.

“Being a Nashville kid, my biggest dream has been to leave a mark on the history of Country music while also carrying on its legacy,” shared Smith. “The Grand Ole Opry is every piece of that so having the opportunity to stand in the circle for the first time means more to me than I can really put into words.”

The rising artist is set to hit the road this summer on Thomas Rhett’s BRING THE BAR TO YOU TOUR, following a recent run with Ryan Hurd. Continuing to feed his growing fan base with new music like his viral hit “I Hate Alabama,” Smith has been named one of Spotify’s Hot Country Artist to Watch for 2022 and Amazon Music’s 2022 Amazon Artist To Watch as well as Artists To Watch 2022: The Pandora Ten list. He is the only Country act named to the prestigious Pandora all-genre accolade as momentum builds with his debut single “Learn From It,” which nears the Top 40 at Country radio and is featured on his DIDN’T GO TOO FAR collection (The Valory Music Co.).
