NASHVILLE, TN (April 6, 2016) – With a pioneering sound that has made them an indisputable American institution, CHEAP TRICK will perform during Throwback Thursday on NBC’s TODAY, airing tomorrow, April 7. The legendary band, who will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 8, will play their classic hit “I Want You To Want Me” and their first Big Machine Records’ single “When I Wake Up Tomorrow.” The track ascended to the #1 spot on the Classic Rock radio chart, setting a solid tone as 2016 is “…shaping up to be a banner year for the band” (ROLLING STONE).
Fervent reviews have continued to pour in following the April 1 release of Cheap Trick’s seventeenth studio album Bang, Zoom, Crazy…Hello. With their first new music in more than five years, critics are already raving:
“Unlike many who preceded them into the Hall, Cheap Trick have never stopped rocking. As their new album attests, Cheap Trick shows no signs of slowing down, splitting up or detouring onto the oldies circuit.”
USA TODAY
“Cheap Trick — the hard-charging, melodic rockers from Rockford, Illinois — is racing full speed ahead into the Rock Hall, fueled by its best album in decades.”
