Nashville, TN (December 2, 2 022) – Multi-PLATINUM Country hitmaker Brett Young today releases “You Ain’t Here
To Kiss Me (2022),” a new version of his heartfelt song dubbed one of Young’s “best songs” (Billboard). The updated
version of the emotional track arrives just in time for the holidays, a season known for its nostalgic nature. Listen to the
track HERE and watch the lyric video HERE.
Produced by Dan Huff and written by Young, Tiffany Goss, and Matt Alderman, the track was inspired by a real situation
between Young and now wife Taylor Mills, years prior to their marriage. The song tells the story of a narrator flying
alone on New Year’s Eve, reflecting on his recent heartbreak. Never afraid to open up about his own experiences,
Young’s “painfully personal” (Taste of Country) track offers a new spin on the song, with stripped-down production
allowing his rich vocals to shine. After Huff had encouraged Young to release a new version of the song, Young and
BMLG Records moved forward with the idea, deciding to release the reflective song during the holidays, a time when
many people often reflect on past relationships.
“I can be a very emotional songwriter and, for some reason, the sad, reflective songs, often come naturally for me,”
Young shared. “The song is a true story about a situation my now wife and I had many years back – it just describes
the feeling of missing someone and seeing everyone else around you in happy relationships. Dann Huff has been
wanting to cut a new version of it for a while so we thought the timing was right to give it a bit of a new life around this
coming New Year.”
Earlier this week, the “In Case You Didn’t Know” singer announced Brett Young: 5 Tour 3 2 1. Kicking off March 30,
he will hit the road for a slew of headlining shows, with Ashley Cooke and Morgan Evans serving as support. Produced
by Live Nation, tickets will be available for purchase today (December 2) starting at 10am local time. To purchase

Young also recently announced a special limited run in Hawaii in 2023, which sold out in 24 hours and will be closing
