INDIANAPOLIS, IN (July 24, 2017) – Country music made a strong showing during yesterday’s (7/23) BRANTLEY GILBERT BIG MACHINE BRICKYARD 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. As the race namesake, the outlier hitmaker revved up the crowd with his new single “The Ones That Like Me” on the track before taking a lap in the pace car and officially announcing drivers to “START YOUR ENGINES!”
Big Machine Records hot newcomer
CARLY PEARCE joined Gilbert and BMLG President/CEO
SCOTT BORCHETTA at Victory Podium for the driver introductions, leading into her stunning rendition of the National Anthem. Her breakthrough hit “
Every Little Thing” continues to lead the pack as the only solo female in the Top 20 at Country radio.
NBC’s live television coverage also premiered Gilbert’s Apple commercial, showcasing the “Country Music Be Country Wide” and “One Hell Of An Amen” singer’s true reality. As only the second Country artist to be the brand’s face, watch the featurette here:

The Nashville-based powerhouse label group has a long-standing relationship with not only IMS but the entire community, frequently sponsoring races thanks to Borchetta’s background as a driver.
Following a brief rain delay, engines roared with KASEY KAHNE pulling his No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet car into Victory Lane to take the Brickyard 400 title for 2017.
Local fans can catch Gilbert again when his The Devil Don’t Sleep Tour returns to Indianapolis for a full show August 5 at the Klipsch Center.
