NASHVILLE, TN (November 3, 2016) – Celebrating into the early hours this morning, BIG MACHINE LABEL GROUP hosted their annual CMA Awards After Party alongside roster winners – THOMAS RHETT (Single, “Die A Happy Man”) and TIM McGRAW (Song, “Humble & Kind” written by Lori McKenna) – who shared in the excitement as BMLG President/CEO SCOTT BORCHETTA raised a glass to “Country Music’s Biggest Night.”
The event at Marathon Music Works was fueled with festive Jack Daniels cocktails. BMLG staff and industry guests – including DAN RATHER, SHARON STONE, CHARLES ESTEN and TANYA TUCKER – sampled late night bites like a pancake bar and hot chicken sandwiches while mingling throughout the crowd.
Earlier in the evening, BMLG artists appeared on ABC’s live broadcast of the 50th Annual CMA Awards with REBA McENTIRE singing her signature “Fancy” in the all-star opening and returning later for the Dolly Parton Tribute alongside MARTINA McBRIDE, JENNIFER NETTLES, Carrie Underwood, Kacey Musgraves and Pentatonix. RONNIE DUNN reunited with Brooks & Dunn partner Kix Brooks and Jason Aldean for “Brand New Man.” TIM McGRAW took the stage backed by a choir for “Humble & Kind” and joined FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE for a heartwarming rendition of “May We All.” THOMAS RHETTserenaded the audience with “Die A Happy Man” and TAYLOR SWIFT closed the night, presenting Entertainer of the Year.
Setting the stage earlier in the week, Reba joined Musical Event of the Year nominee CASSADEE POPEand Hillary Scott (of Lady Antebellum) for a surprise performance during All Access Nashville: Celebrating the CMA Awards with Robin Roberts. The ABC primetime special also featured memories from other notable artists, including Tim and Martina.
