SEATTLE, WA  (June 7, 2021) – Rock singer-guitarist AYRON JONES continues his multi-week No. 1 officially claiming the top spot this week on the Mediabase Active Rock chart and remaining atop Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Chart with “Mercy” (Big Machine/John Varvatos Records). The Seattle Times confirms “Veteran hard rocker Ayron Jones is having his national breakout, lighting up rock radio across the country.”
 
Named a top track by Loudwire upon release they proclaimed “Mercy” is “a powerful track about inequality and social injustice combined with gritty vocals and infectious riffs makes for a song you won’t be able to get out of your head, nor will you want to.”
 
The gritty, genre-blending artist wrote the standout track, featured on CHILD OF THE STATE, alongside Marty Frederickson and Scott Stevens with the haunting lyrics, “Got me on my knees / too much smoke, can’t breathe,” that he meant quite literally. It was late in 2020 when he co-penned the song and by that point, during one of the most tumultuous years in recent American history, the whole world appeared to be on fire. Full of charged lyrics and melodies, “Mercy” is, underscored by a vision of hope and endurance: through it all, we persevere. 
 
Previously gaining a following as an independent artist Jones has become part of the fabric of his hometown of Seattle, opening for Guns ’N’ Roses at the Gorge and B.B. King.  With a reach that now extends well beyond his hometown, playing alongside such acts as Run DMC, Public Enemy, Rahkim, Jeff Beck, Theory of a Deadman, Robin Trower, and Spearhead he recently performed at Love Rocks NYC live from The Beacon alongside acts such as Jon Bon Jovi, Gary Clark Jr. and Sara Bareilles among others.
