NASHVILLE, TN (July 26, 2024) – MULTI-PLATINUM singer-songwriter Riley Green brings a touch of humor to his discography with his latest release, “Rather Be,” out today via Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment. This playful track delivers a lighthearted twist on the all-too-familiar experience of being nagged. Listen to the song HERE.
“This felt like a fun way to preview what’s coming up later this year,” shared Green.
The release of “Rather Be” arrives at an opportune moment for Green, who is currently enjoying significant success with several current hits. His viral collaboration with Ella Langley, “you look like you love me,” has already garnered over 50 million streams since its release just over a month ago. The streaming juggernaut sits at No. 16 on Billboard’s TikTok Top 50–making it the only Country song in the Top 10–and holds strong at No. 3 on the US Viral 50. Furthermore, over 500K TikTok videos have been made using the track.
His current single, “Damn Good Day To Leave,” continues to gain momentum, climbing through the Top 25 on the US Country radio charts and currently at No. 6 on the UK charts. Additionally, his latest EP, Way Out Here, includes the hit “Worst Way,” which has amassed over 75 million streams and has been generating considerable buzz.
Beyond his recent chart successes, Green has been making headlines with his live performances and print features. Earlier this month, he played to the UK’s largest Country music crowd ever at his debut show in the country (with Morgan Wallen). He is also featured as the cover of this month’s Cigar & Spirits magazine, becoming the third country artist to do so, following George Straight and Kenny Chesney.
With no signs of slowing down, Green’s fans can look forward to more new music later this year.

ABOUT RILEY GREEN:
Riley Green has been compelling Country music fans to raise a drink, shed a tear, and, above all, celebrate where they are from, since first releasing his self-titled EP in 2018 with Big Machine Label Group. His songs like the No. 1 PLATINUM hit “There Was This Girl,” the 2X-PLATINUM-certified heart-tugger “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” (which he performed live at the 55th ACM Awards), and his chart-topping collab with Thomas Rhett, “Half of Me,” have made Riley synonymous with what Country music does best: making listeners feel something with his no-gimmick, relatable writing and classic feel.
An avid sports fan, former athlete (Jacksonville State University quarterback) and outdoorsman, Riley is riding a wave of success after being named the Academy of Country Music’s 2020 New Male Artist of the Year, a former MusicRow Breakout Artist of the Year, a CMT “Listen Up Artist,” and one of CRS’s 2020 New Faces. In 2023 Green served as direct support for Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs, playing to an average of 65,000 fans each night. Recently Green has wrapped his own headlining tour, bringing out Tracy Lawrence and Ella Langley with him. Combs joined Riley on his third No. 1 single “Different ‘Round Here (Ft. Luke Combs),” the title track to Riley’s 2019 debut album that he re-recorded with Combs after seeing how fans connected to it.
His latest full-length studio album Ain’t My Last Rodeo, produced by Dann Huff, is more of the signature Riley Green fans have come to know and love from the good ol’ boy who still lives in his hometown of Jacksonville, AL. The project, heavily influenced by the rural, small town and slower way of life at home and time spent with his family, is available now. See tour dates and learn more at rileygreenmusic.com.
