NASHVILLE, TN (March 4, 2016) – CHEAP TRICK released their long-awaited new single and video, “When I Wake Up Tomorrow,” featured on the legendary power pop collective’s upcoming album, Bang, Zoom, Crazy…Hello, due out April 1. “When I Wake Up Tomorrow” debuts today exclusively via Rolling Stone.
Bang, Zoom, Crazy…Hello follows the recent announcement of Cheap Trick’s forthcoming induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The long-awaited news celebrates the pioneering sound that has earned the Rockford, IL-based band total record sales well in excess of 20 million featured appearances and more than 40 international Gold and Platinum certifications.
Cheap Trick’s seventeenth studio album and first new music in more than five years, Bang, Zoom, Crazy…Hello was co-produced by the band and their longtime collaborator, GRAMMY® Award winner Julian Raymond (Glen Campbell, Fastball). Songs like the recently released “No Direction Home” prove Cheap Trick to be as energetic and idiosyncratically irresistible as ever before, a callback to their classic canon yet somehow as inventive and exciting as a band just coming out of the garage.
Bang, Zoom, Crazy…Hello is available now for pre-order. Fans can also pre-order the album through the Cheap Trick Pledge Music campaign, with limited and exclusive items including signed/numbered CD’s, signed lithographs, guitar picks, plaques and more. All Pledge Music pre-orders of Bang, Zoom, Crazy…Hello will receive an exclusive Cheap Trick “AccessPass,” unlocking bonus content unavailable anywhere else. Quantities are limited – complete details are available now at Pledge Music.
Cheap Trick are an indisputable American institution, beloved around the globe since 1974 for their instantly identifiable, hugely influential, brand of pop rock ‘n’ roll. The band – Robin Zander (vocals, rhythm guitar), Rick Nielsen (lead guitar), Tom Petersson (bass guitar), and Daxx Nielsen (drums) – are true pioneers with an unparalleled streak of certifiably classic tunes, from “He’s A Whore,” “California Man” and “Dream Police” to “Surrender,” “I Want You To Want Me” and the worldwide #1 hit single, “The Flame.”
Well-known for having played over 5,000 shows in their four decade-plus career, Cheap Trick will hit the road again this summer to both support Bang Zoom Crazy…Hello and celebrate their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The ROCK HALL THREE FOR ALL TOUR – also starring Heart and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts – begins July 14 at Clarkston, MI’s DTE Energy Music Theatre and then travels through a September 23 finale at West Palm Peach, FL’s Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre.
