NASHVILLE, TN (April 29, 2016) – Following the release of his self-titled EP, Brett Young continues to hit home runs with his fresh sound.” The singer/songwriter made high-profile appearances in Los Angeles this week on the KTLA Morning News and singing the National Anthem at the Dodgers game.
Brett was welcomed with open arms upon returning to his home state of California. Yesterday morning (4/28), he sat down at the KTLA anchor’s desk with Sam Rubin to chat about his music as well as his first appearance at Stagecoach on 4/30. He gave viewers a preview acoustically performing his debut single “Sleep Without You” before giving away a pair of tickets to the festival this weekend. Watch here.
Later in the evening, Brett fulfilled a childhood dream, singing the National Anthem at the Dodgers game. Donning a #11 custom Dodgers jersey, Brett stood near home plate beaming with pride and hugging friends and family after the very special moment.
“I grew up a Dodgers fan so tonight is a dream come true for me,” expressed Brett. “Never in a million years did I ever think I would be standing on the field at Dodgers Stadium and I am so happy my friends and family were able to be here tonight.”
Continuing his hot streak with a track he co-wrote, “Sleep Without You” broke into the Top 50 of the Mediabase Country Airplay Chart upon release at Country Radio earlier this month. The behind-the-scenes footage from the California based shoot is now available on Vevo. Directed by Shane Drake and starring Olivia Jordan (Miss USA), the video perfectly encapsulates the love story inspired by the music.
Brett will return to his current home in Nashville to perform at the CMA Festival on 6/9. For more information and tour dates, visit brettyoungmusic.com.
