NASHVILLE, TN (June 29, 2016) – Big Machine Music announced today the signing of Emily Landis to an Exclusive Songwriting Agreement. The songstress joins a roster chalked full of talent – including Jonathan Singleton (Tim McGraw, Tyler Farr), Laura Veltz (Marren Morris, Cassadee Pope), Josh Thompson (Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley), and Fancy Hagood (Christina Aguilera, Ariana Grande) – who have collectively tallied scores of major label album cuts and over a dozen charted singles in 2016 to date.
“My team and I were immediately impressed with Emily’s dedication to the craft and her song sense. She will fit perfectly into our family of genuinely talented songwriters,” said Mike Molinar, General Manager of Big Machine Music.
Landis is a graduate of Belmont University where she studied Songwriting. The St. Louis native highlighted her songwriting prowess this spring, co-writing four of the eight original songs performed in the esteemed Belmont Showcase Series for the Country genre.
“It is an absolute honor to call myself a part of the Big Machine Music family,” shared Landis. “Between Mike, Tali and Alex, I’ll be working with some of the most driven individuals in town. I’m so grateful for the chance they’re taking on me.”
Landis resides in Nashville and counts Tom Douglas, Lori McKenna and Dean Dillon among her songwriting idols.
