NASHVILLE, TN (November 28, 2016) – Chart-topping songwriter and artist Ryan Follese (pronounced fall-uh-ZAY) premiered his charming define-the-relationship music video for “Put A Label On It” throughout the weekend on CMT Hot 20 before the wide release. “I have always believed that the best videos can enhance a song,” said Ryan. “I think we did that with this one. Since ‘Put a Label On It’ was written from a guy’s perspective – the guy being the one who wants to define the relationship with the girl – this video perfectly imagines that point of view.”
Director Peter Zavadil brought to life a concept Ryan created through not only lyrics he penned but envisioned scenes. Literally staying true to his roots – at least in terms of proximity for the Music City native – East Nashville’s Holland House served as the backdrop for much of filming. Following the shoot, Ryan teased a sampling on his Instagram that proved to be just the beginning of this love story.
The relative newcomer spent his youth fronting Award-winning band Hot Chelle Rae and co-writing their 3X Platinum #1 worldwide smash “Tonight, Tonight.” The band toured 16 countries, including arena dates with Taylor Swift. Since then, Ryan’s songwriting sensibilities have naturally brought the stratospheric vocalist home to the sounds he grew up around with chart-topping Country music songwriter parents Keith (Tim McGraw, Faith Hill) and Adrienne (Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride).
Ryan performed his first Country radio single on NBC’s TODAY last month and has seen fans gravitating towards the sound with nearly 700,000 streams to date on Spotify of “Put A Label On It.” He penned the track – and five others – on his self-titled BMLG Records EP, out now.
Currently tapped for Live Nation’s ‘Ones To Watch’ Tour with headliner LOCASH, Ryan is on the road for dates already slated through Spring 2017. Visit ryanfollese.com for updates or follow him on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
