NASHVILLE, TN (December 11, 2017) – Inaugural artist on the newly-created Big Machine Records / John Varvatos Records, Badflower premiered the music video for their single “Heroin” today (http://bit.ly/2iUqdju). The California Rock band mixes carnal scenes following frontman Josh Katzthrough a turbulent yet passionate relationship with the lead female subject, Kaylen Ostapovich. The Big Bang Theory star and friend of the band, Johnny Galecki, makes a cameo appearance in the band’s first release.

“I just wanted to make an unconventional love story, where things like sexual anxiety and infidelity come together to progress a relationship rather than destroy it,” Katz explains of the band’s intriguing and powerful new video.

Filmed in New York City alongside director Jordan Wolfbauer, the daring cinematic endeavor questions convention with their yarn of a different kind of addiction – one that is more of an obsession as Katz sings “It burns like heroin, now she’s in me,” he sings in a pained voice before screaming, “Now she’s in me.”

Katz continues, “there aren’t any rules to love and sex. Everyone has different experiences, fears and turn-ons so this video was made to be an example of that. These concepts can be uncomfortable to embrace, so naturally the atmosphere had to be a bit stark.”

The daring video challenges rules and conventions with their yarn of a different kind of addiction – one that is more of an obsession as Katz sings “It burns like heroin, now she’s in me,” he sings in a pained voice before screaming, “Now she’s in me.”

There is no question the band went to the extreme with the clip, knowing it may be too uncomfortable for some viewer, but the point of art is to make you think. And, Rock & Roll, to rebel. Badflower does it all with “Heroin.”
